Lesson 6

I explored iconography, which was very interesting to see religious paintings modernized and almost sarcastically. I felt like the artist were almost making fun of what people worship today versus then. For example, I repined a post of what looks like Mother Mary in a Vogue magazine, crying, while nursing a baby and vines with thorns are coming out of her eyes. Creepy, yes, but definitely speaks volumes.
